In scrutinizing the daily we generate the possibility of opening up ways to different approaches, which in turn, allow us to unfold our reality in multiple and different realities.
Since 2008 my work is developed around the leisure society, taking as a reference the space, habits and behaviors. How we use, build, transform, manipulate and discard it. How we take position and represent ourselves. This allows us to obtain an objective radiograph of society in a specific context, at a given time.
It is the leisure society the one that allows us to be represent in a more autonomous way. Different spaces that need to be consumed by different audience, which are an active part for their establishment and survival.
I depart from a theoretical base that helps me to structure the conceptual line of the images and to define the space I’m going to work with, to later field work proceed and than closing with a text that conceptualizes the series.
In my project the theoretical part performs vital importance and the representation of the works is, by nature, in large formats.
Al escrutar lo cotidiano generamos la posibilidad de abrir vías a diferentes planteamientos, que a su vez, nos permiten desdoblar nuestra realidad en múltiples y diferentes realidades.
Desde el año 2008 mi trabajo se desarrolla en torno a la sociedad de ocio, tomando como referencia el espacio, hábitos y comportamientos. Cómo lo utilizamos, construimos, transformamos, manipulamos, lo desechamos. Como nos posicionamos y nos representamos. Esto nos permite obtener una radiografía objetiva de la sociedad en un contexto concreto, en una determinada época.
Es la sociedad del ocio la que nos permite representarnos de una forma más autónoma. Diferentes espacios que precisan ser consumidos por públicos diferentes, que son parte activa para su establecimiento y supervivencia.
Parto de una base teórica que me ayuda a estructurar la línea conceptual de las imágenes y definir el espacio con el que voy a trabajar, para posteriormente realizar el trabajo de campo y cerrar con un texto que conceptualice la serie.
En mi proyecto la parte teórica es de vital importancia y la representación de las obras es, por naturaleza, en grandes formatos.
